Road transportation, public transit and aerospace; a glowing future for aluminium
The future is very promising for aluminium in different types of transport. To respond to the needs for energy efficiency and new environmental standards, the demand for a lighter, more durable and more resistant material is a pressing one for anything that rolls or flies. The electrification of public transit also adds to the necessity for producing lighter vehicles and equipment in future generations. Three expert panels, comprising among others, contract awarders, manufacturers and specialists in lightweight materials, will discuss at length the contributions aluminium may bring to road transportation, public transit and aerospace as well.
